LapPacer ("the app") is a pace-timer app for Apple Watch, published by mcquarrie.cc. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it's used.
LapPacer records the sets you run as workouts in Apple Health, using Apple's HealthKit framework. Specifically, each set you start and finish creates a workout entry containing:
LapPacer does not automatically collect heart rate, distance, GPS, or other sensor data during a set.
Your Setup screen preferences (lengths, segments, time, countdown, pool length, units, and toggle settings) are stored only in the app's local settings on your watch. They are never transmitted anywhere.
Workout data is written to Apple Health solely so your set is recorded as a real workout, and so the app can request the display-power and Water Lock privileges an active workout session unlocks on watchOS. LapPacer does not use this data for any other purpose.
All data stays on your device, governed by Apple's Health app and its own privacy protections. LapPacer has no servers of its own, does not transmit any data over the network, and does not share, sell, or provide your data to any third party. We have no access to your Health data once it's written — only you, through the Health app, control it.
LapPacer contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
You can review or revoke LapPacer's access to Health data at any time on your iPhone, in the Health app → Sharing → Apps → LapPacer, or under Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → LapPacer. If access is revoked, LapPacer continues to work as a pace timer; it simply won't record a workout to Health.
LapPacer is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them beyond what's described above, which is identical regardless of the user's age.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "Last updated" date.
